Veronica practices in estate planning and administration, and in real estate.

Veronica’s practice is focused on assisting individuals and families with estate planning, estate administration, and real estate transactions. She helps her clients create estate plans that effectively transfer wealth and guard against future incapacity, disability or other changes in circumstance. She regularly assists clients with preparing the following estate planning documents:

• Wills
• Power of Attorney
• Representation Agreements
• Bare Trust Agreements
• Transfer documentation to add, remove or amend owners on
title to real property
• Alter Ego Trusts and Joint Partner Trusts
• Disability Trusts

Veronica also advises clients who have been appointed an executor in a will, who seek to be appointed administrator of an intestate estate, or who act as trustee of an ongoing trust. She works with individuals and families to navigate the probate and estate administration process from the moment a deceased individual passes away through to final distributions and resolution of the estate. She also assists clients outside of British Columbia with applications to re-seal foreign estate grants in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

In her real estate practice, Veronica assists clients with family transfers, purchases, sales, and refinancing transactions.

Born and raised in Ontario, Veronica obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from Brock University. She worked for several years in corporate finance and corporate banking in Toronto before attending law school in Vancouver. While studying at the Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, Veronica was awarded course prizes in family law, Asian legal studies, and equitable remedies. She volunteered as a student editor for the Annual Review of Insolvency Law, and with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, Careers Committee, Law Women’s Caucus and the Animal Legal Defence Fund.

Prior to joining Bell Alliance, Veronica articled at an international, full-service firm in Vancouver, and practiced at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto. Veronica was lured back to the “best” coast by her love of the outdoors, her husband, Patrick, and their cat, Herman.
