BC Corporate Registry Resumes Dissolutions

Scroll

The Government of British Columbia announced that, as of April 5, 2022, the BC Registry will resume the dissolution of companies that have failed to file an annual report for two consecutive years.

Due to the provincial state of emergency, the practice of dissolving companies was temporarily suspended. As British Columbia is no longer in a state of emergency the dissolution practice will continue for all British Columbia and Extraprovincial Companies.

Companies at risk of dissolution will receive a Notice of Dissolution from BC Registry, delivered to the registered office. If you intend to keep your company in existence, you should ensure all annual reports have been filed.
