Heather Bell

Hi, I’m Heather Bell. With over 10 years of helping businesses, professionals, and families with their immigration needs, there is still a feeling of gratitude to every client who allows me to share in their journey to Canada.

I am an immigration consultant and manage the immigration team at Bell Alliance LLP.

Practice Areas

  • Work Permits
  • Express Entry
  • Family Sponsorship
  • Provincial Nomination
  • Permanent Residency and Citizenship Applications

I support employers from diverse industries with their immigration needs, as well as individuals and families seeking temporary and permanent residency to Canada. When working with companies, my core focus areas are company expansions to Canada; supporting the hire and retention of foreign professionals in technical and management positions; and supporting the hire and retention of foreign workers filling the labour gap in the tourism and hospitality industry.

I hold a degree from University of British Columbia in Political Science, and a masters in International Human Resources from the University of Manchester. I am a member in good standing with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council. I have worked in the field of immigration for over 10 years—first with students and young workers, then as an immigration consultant with Bell Alliance LLP, establishing and growing its immigration department.

Previous speaking engagements include: Co-presenter at Canadian Association of Professional Consultant’s seminar on Express Entry; guest speaker at “Doing Business in Canada” with Lorman Education Services in Seattle, USA; MacDonald Realty Annual Convention; ExpoPlaza Latina on “How to Fill the Labour Gap for Mining and Construction Industries”; Vancouver’s GreenTech Exchange “Attracting GreenTech Innovators and Talent”; and BC Boating’s annual conference.

Outside of work, I am busy with my two young girls and enjoy time away at the family’s cabin on the Gulf Islands. My hobbies include gardening, baking, biking, kayaking and hiking.

My past travels and experiences living overseas drew me to immigration consulting, after experiencing firsthand the challenges and rewards of navigating a new culture, language, and immigration system in different countries.

I have helped clients with:

  • Establishing or expanding the business of entrepreneurs and foreign businesses to Canada
  • Helping Canadian companies with hiring foreign nationals or relocating foreign staff to Canada
  • Applying for work and study permits
  • Applying for permanent residency either under the provincial or federal immigration streams
  • Sponsorship of overseas family members for Canadians and permanent residents
  • Obtaining criminal rehabilitation and temporary resident permits
