Richard is the founding partner of Bell Alliance LLP and has a long history in the practice of Real Estate and Wills and Estate Planning. With both him and his clients ageing (ageing is a better option than the alternative) his practice has become more focused on Wills and Estate Planning. He continues to advise his great team of real estate lawyers but has stepped back from the day to day practice of conveyancing. He also continues to speak to many community groups, media and corporations on issues related to real estate and estate planning.
Richard founded Bell Alliance with a goal of creating a paperless law firm and has been recognized by Adobe as one of the leading minds behind the paperless model and Adobe’s digital signatures. He also co-founded Avesdo, a technology that completely eliminates paper from the presale process for multi-family projects.
Richard and Bell Alliance LLP support numerous charities. He is the Past Chair of the Arts Club and is on the Board of Small Housing B.C. Richard is an active supporter and on the Board of World Housing, a charity that builds homes for the poorest of the poor. Richard’s outstanding contributions and service to the community saw Bell Alliance as one of three finalists for a Vancouver Board of Trade Spirit of Vancouver Award.
Richard leads the firm in setting the highest of service standards based on: “How would you like your mother to be treated?”
