Bell Alliance welcomed Sunny for temporary articles in the summer of 2020. He returned to the firm as an Articled Student in 2021 after completing his Juris Doctor at Thompson Rivers University. Prior to law school, Sunny worked in an advisory role at the University of British Columbia. Not only did that experience help him develop grit and diligence, but it also left him with fond memories of collegiality and client success.
In law school, Sunny was an executive member of the Society of Law Students and an active member of the Indigenous Law Students Association. He was a fervent advocate for his peers’ welfare. For exchange, Sunny went to the University of Münster in Germany, where he studied comparative perspectives on property ownership.
Sunny has Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and International Relations) degrees from UBC. He also participated in a French immersion program at the University of Montréal. He is proficient in Punjabi and Hindi. Sunny’s commitment to community well-being and the arts has helped him foster lasting connections with inspirational individuals.
