Colours Of Edziza – An Adventure To One Of The Last Untamed Places On Earth
In the fall, we helped support Colours of Edziza, a documentary film project led by our clients Mike and Chantal Schauch in collaboration with members of the Tahltan First Nation. It recounts the journey of their traverse last August across the Spectrum mountain range and Mt. Edziza plateau in the Tahltan territory of northern BC—spectacular landscape which most of us don’t realize exists in BC.
We are very pleased that in the meantime, Colours of Edziza was a finalist film in the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF) and premiered there on February 18th.
The beautiful soundtrack by violist and composer, Thomas Beckman, was picked up by the CBC. And the film just won an Award of Merit in the Best Shorts film competition in California. The team is now entering the film in more international film competitions and will keep the community informed of screenings via their Colours of Edziza Facebook page and website. We look forward to more great news coming from the team and opportunities to watch the film in Vancouver.
