British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program prioritizes Construction Industry Workers
On November 16th 2023, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) announced a new priority stream for the construction industry. It was created in reaction to the Homes for People action plan, which aims to meet BC’s demand for residential housing and infrastructure over the next five years. This new stream is meant to ensure construction workers nominated by the BC PNP are ready to contribute immediately to BC’s labour market.
Through the BC PNP priority stream, 25 designated construction occupations will be prioritized and targeted invitations to apply will be issued to workers in these select construction occupations.
